At Infinex, passkeys power everything. They replace seed phrases and make logging in fast, secure, and familiar. This means you don’t need to copy-paste private keys.
What are Passkeys?
Passkeys are a safer, easier alternative to seed phrases. Instead of having to write down and manage a seed phrase, your Infinex account is protected by cryptographic keys that are securely tied to your device.
Your private key stays locked on your device and is never shared, Infinex or anyone else can’t access it.
The public key is stored by Infinex to verify your login and keep your account safe.
How does Infinex use passkeys?
Infinex partners with Turnkey to generate passkeys in a fully non-custodial way, meaning no one (including Infinex or Turnkey) can access your private key or act on your behalf.
This setup protects you against phishing attacks, removes the need for seed phrases, and works across multiple chains. As you use Infinex, smart contract wallets are deployed automatically on each network you interact with, giving you secure multichain access from a single login.
How do I setup passkeys?
If you’re creating a new account, setting up a passkey is part of onboarding. You’ll be prompted to store your passkey securely using Face ID, fingerprint, or your device PIN.
Here’s how it works:
Create your Infinex account
→ Choose your username (this becomes your public handle)
Choose where to store your passkey:
Phone – Use Face ID, Touch ID, or PIN
Windows – Use Windows Hello (only available on Windows devices)
Security Key – Use a physical key like YubiKey
Authenticate and confirm
Follow the prompts to lock in your method of choice.
