2FA FAQ
What is the Authenticator App?
In the interest of your security, two-factor authentication (2FA) is required for certain actions on your Infinex account. To do so, you will need to have an authenticator app such as Authy or 1Password. An authenticator app is an application that generates time-based one-time passwords (TOTPs). These passwords are used for 2FA and help protect your accounts by adding an additional security layer.
How do Authenticator Apps work?
While different authenticator apps follow different security protocols, they all provide you with a single use six digit code upon request that expires after 30 seconds. You will need to enter this code into the Infinex app in order to utilise the feature locked behind 2FA. Authenticator apps work offline, and are more secure than SMS as they cannot be intercepted.
