Supplying and Borrowing with Aave

Here's how to supply and borrow assets.

1. Choose a supported network

Aave via Infinex Connect supports these networks:

  • Ethereum Mainnet

  • Base

  • Arbitrum

  • Optimism

  • Polygon

If the Supply buttons are greyed out, it means your Infinex Wallet doesn't hold any assets on the selected network.

  • Use the network dropdown to switch to a chain where you do have assets.

  • Once selected, the supply options will become available.

2. Supply Collateral

To borrow an asset, you'll first need to supply collateral.

  • Click the Supply button next to the asset you want to use as collateral.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the supply process.

3. Borrowing Assets

Once you’ve supplied collateral, the Borrow buttons become active. Before borrowing, please consider the following:

  • Amount to Borrow: Choose how much of the asset you'd like to borrow.

  • Health Factor: This metric indicates your risk of liquidation.

    • A Health Factor below 1.0 means your position is at risk and may be liquidated.

  • Risk Acknowledgment: You’ll be required to confirm that you understand the risks before proceeding.

4. Track Your Positions

You can monitor supplied or borrowed assets anytime:

  • Inside the Aave interface, where you’ll see your supplied and borrowed assets

  • In your Infinex Portfolio which displays balances

Managing or Withdrawing Funds

Withdrawing Funds

To withdraw all supplied assets, first repay any outstanding borrowings, you can repay using your supplied collateral.

Partial Withdrawals

You can remove part of your collateral without repaying your debt, but this will increase your risk of liquidation. Monitor your health factor closely whenever you adjust your position.
