Why do I need to add a verified email to enable recovery?
To enable funds recovery for your wallet, you must verify your email in the Wallet section of your account, even it is has already been previously verified for other purposes. Funds recovery for the Wallet will then become available once you have enabled this verified email for recovery.
I have added an email address earlier, does that mean it is verified by default?
No. If you added an email before the December 10th 2024 update, you will need to verify the email that you have already added and then enable it for recovery.
Is the email I set as a recovery authentication method the same as a verified/enabled email?
No. Recovery for the Wallet and Vault are separate, and any email set up for recovery of funds from the Vault are not automatically verified and enabled for recovery of funds from the Wallet.
Is the recovery process for Wallet different from Vault?
Yes, the Wallet and Vault have separate recovery processes. The Vault uses on-chain recovery, while the Wallet uses off-chain recovery. Recovery for the Wallet is currently still in development, and will become available in early 2025. In the meantime, your assets remain 100% safe in your Infinex account in the event that you have lost your passkey.
What can I recover?
You can recover any supported assets stored in your wallet. Depositing unsupported assets and/or on unsupported networks means that although your tokens are 100% safe in the Infinex account, you will not be able to interact with them until they become supported on Infinex.
My question does not fall into the category of the ones listed above. What should I do?
